Real Help. No Judgment.

Ponca Behavioral Health is a safe place for all descendants of a federally recognized tribe facing addiction, depression, or emotional crisis. Our goal is to provide trauma informed, culturally competent care through an integrated approach. Behavioral health affects the whole body, not just the brain. We can help with whatever challenge you're facing, whether that's substance abuse or simply a major life change. We meet you with care, not conditions.

FAQs

What is MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment)?

MAT is the use of FDA-approved medications, combined with counseling and behavioral therapies, to treat substance use disorders (such as opioid or alcohol use disorders). It helps normalize brain chemistry, relieve cravings, and support recovery.

How does MAT work?

MAT medications reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings. When combined with therapy, MAT addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction, improving long-term recovery outcomes. This format also allows for medication use to be kept safe and monitored by qualified professionals.

Can I access behavioral health services through telehealth?

Yes, we offer telehealth appointments!

Can I start MAT immediately?

Ponca Behavioral Health offers same day appointments for new MAT clients on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Early intervention is crucial.

How long does someone stay on MAT?

There is no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some people may stay on MAT for months or years. Others may eventually taper off with medical supervision. The decision is based on individual progress and goals.
